I’ll get a decent laptop soon instead of my busted one, but i’m planning on getting a proper gaming pc, do you think i should save up and do a custom pc? Or pay monthly for like 2 years and get a pre-built one with higher specs than i could afford if i save up?

I built my PC years ago and I've been buying new parts on occasion when I can afford an upgrade. Personally, I prefer building my own system simply because I know what's in it and know where everything is.
A lot of pre-built vendors, at least in my experience, skimp out on certain components (more often than not the mobo) that means you have to buy extra parts if you want to upgrade. Unless you're interested in building your own, and don't really care for upgrading it yourself in the future, or you just don't know how to and don't want to learn, get a pre-built. |

It's best to build it yourself IMO.
