Open disk management via the start menu, look for your drive there. If windows is able to detect it (and there's supposedly files on it) your partition should appear there.
The reason it doesn't let you install Windows on that drive could be any number of reasons, the drive could be formatted using the wrong standard, not enough drive space etc.
