I'm looking for a decent image editor app, I've been using paint.net for yonks now but I'm looking for something a bit more advanced. I don't mind paying for licenses either so feel free to suggest paid options.

oh also I don't want photoshop because you have to pay a subscription for that shit

I guess GIMP is a viable option even though in my opinion Photoshop is better.

I went for Affinity Photo in the end, good reviews overall and priced very competitively as an alternative package to Photoshop.
