I deleted the spam thread post when I was cm. It’s not technically against TOU and is no good reason to ban anyone we found that it was just being used as an excuse to ban people so after talking about it we removed the post.

It's really what EMP told the forum staff to do when we come across this situation, I don't tend to ban people for this not as often anymore but like I said I was told it's against TOU.

If people punish for it then there should be stated anywhere that it isn't allowed, either in the TOU or in a forum post somewhere that people can see it. Right now it's just kind of like "Why did I get banned?" and the forum staff then say "It's against TOU" yet can never direct anyone to a clear, obvious place that states such a thing.

The argument of "EMP said so" might be correct, but that doesn't mean it should be more clear.

I don't think they should be banned but I do agree with Clarky about there being a warn system on the forums, that would be nice.
