No but deliberately using it in order to try insult or offend someone is TOU since it can be seen as racism
I understand that BUT how is killing your friend and calling him black racist? and then he gets banned for 2 days?
Sorry, but the logic is flawed
Because it can be seen as if he was killed for being a "black man" whilst you guys may see it differently. It makes sense in both perspectives but I recommend that it shouldn't be said without correct context behind it or it's going to cause issues.
EDIT: Klaprefot's report I was talking about in the first sentence btw^
I think it causes more issues if staff members decide to ban a user for a day for a friendly comment between two friends that does not involve any racial slur or anything that can be considered racism.
I never agreed with Skeleton's ban though, I don't think it should of been placed but it is valid at the end of the day so it's too bad if you disagree with it - you can go talk to Skeleton about it.
Sorry, but I'm actually dissapointed to see where SSRP has gotten to as far as leniency goes. I'm all for stricter punishments, but this is practically abuse and you guys are allowing it.
It isn't practically abuse because the punishment is valid but a ban was not needed however due to a recent announcement it is a straight up one day ban therefore there is no wrongdoing here. Most of the time in SSRP, people are given verbal warnings and such a lot so you have no idea what you're talking about especially when you don't even play the servers about leniency against players who break rules.
I can still make an observance and give criticism based on what I see. Saying "Black man" isn't racist, saying "die in hell, black man" is also not racist. Nobody was offended by it.
Just like how we have different opinions on what racism is and means, we also have different opinions on the meaning of abuse. I find harsh punishments abusive because they do not help the server. This user was friends with the user that he was "racist" towards. Nobody else could hear it. The term wasn't that offensive, even if you do see it as racism you have to agree there.
There was no reason to punish this user aside from Skeleton going on an ego trip. Your power should be used to help the server, not to punish users for the sole reason of punishing them. It says more about Skeleton than anything else - perhaps I shouldn't have used the whole server in that analogy. My apologies.
