Staff do not get demoted on first offences. They never have, they probably never will. If he hacks again he will be permanently banned as well as demoted, but now he gets an official (or so I assume, that's what we used to do anyways) and if you don't agree with that decision then I'd like to remind you of all the past cases where some of the staff that decided to hack at some point during their career ended up as some of the best members within this community that wouldn't have been there if we hadn't given them that support.
