It really is sad. I as a younger child always looked up to Stephen Hawking he was a true symbol showing that no matter who you are in life you can make it and if you try hard enough nothing can stop you.

Thanks for that Max, he really was a great guy and I also believe that he was an astonishing role model.

Wow. I am actually surprised. I looked at this post thinking "do I want to see what horrible things people have written". And to my amazement people are actually being very respectful. Maybe there is hope for Zarp after all.
It was indeed a great loss. I learnt a lot from him. We also lost Jim Bowen yesterday too. But you guys won't know him. He was a Sunday night game show presenter from my childhood.

He lived a very great and long life regarding the doctors who said he wont live longer then 5 years after he was diagnosed with ALS. terrible news... its unimaginable how much Hawking actually did for science. He never complained about his way of living, and proved everyone that life contains no limits.
