Depends. You can get very far on TTT without a microphone.

Like, if you want to get further within this community and maybe even go for Lead Team once you've become staff then communication is key and a microphone is excessively useful, however you're not even staff yet.

If you have to buy a microphone then don't. It won't help you as much as you think it might. If you've got a microphone lying around then sure, go for it.

Most mods and admins that don't have a microphone do just fine, it's in case you ever want to become a Super Admin or higher that a microphone is almost a necessity (with some exceptions occasionally). If you don't feel like you're missing out on anything as a user then you won't miss out on anything as a staff member. Heck, I usually don't use my mic to talk to people in-game about staff related stuff because it disrupts people's gameplay and the users can usually not even hear what I'm trying to say.
