TOPIC: About Me.

Ok to begin with I would like to point out my name isn't Fred (I have been asked that a lot) and to those who know my name don't be afraid to address me as such. I will tell you about my life and what I have been through, because recently I have felt the need to.

At the age of 3 years old my family was forced to leave our Home Town to try and save my parents marriage. We moved elsewhere and lived there for 7 years where I met my first ever REAL best friend. I could trust him with literally anything and what made us so close was that he was under the same circumstances. Around early 2012 my Mum found out my Dad had again cheated on her with one of our close 'friends' which made the situations a whole lot worse. With little money we decided to move back to our Home Town where our family was. We struggled to buy a house to start off with so we lived with my Nan for several months until we could afford a Home. I stayed in contact with my best friend and still send them cards on special occasions.

I joined a new school late in the year and struggled to fit in to begin with until I met a group of friends who were exactly like me. One of them actually showed me Zarp and still plays occasionally till this day. My dad chose to give my mum space and carried on living where we moved to and because of the only visited me once every two months.

Around the age of 14 I became really good friends with this boy in a year above me and we shared some really good times. Until unexpectedly he chose to take his own life. During this point I was struggling to cope and go to school. I lost one of my closest friends and could do nothing to go back. The whole school was in shock and we celebrated his life by having a 'festival' about him.

A year and a bit later was the year of my exams and I was under a lot of stress (as everyone is around this time). The whole year I began to slowly drift away from a couple of my friends in my group and talked less and less. During Tutor times I sat next to a girl and we had a lot of laughs together and talked about the funny times years ago. During one day an alarm went off and we were all called down to the canteen. Months later we were then told that the girl I was talking about had taken her own life moments ago. The whole school was in tears throughout the following week and everyone was very supportive. We had our exams in a few weeks and we were all under so much pressure it was un real.

During this year both my mum and dad found someone they could be happy with and I myself ended up moving homes to a better house which I enjoyed. Around this time I started to become a lot fitter and regular exercised to improve my health. I have always had a dream of being in the public services and I knew I needed to be fitter. I joined college doing a course which would help me enrol into the public services. I really started to enjoy the course. Just a week ago I found out someone I knew due to me going to the skatepark had taken his own life.

I am telling you this because I feel that people need to know and realise depression really is an actual thing. I never really took it seriously until such events happened to me and I do not expect people to understand either. Just please respect others when they tell you to stop. When people say things such as "Kill yourself" I don't really take offence unless it is being used spitefully and meant. If you have experienced any of the sort such as depression or knows someone who is suffering with it. You have my sympathy and just know it does get better.
