TOPIC: PC help

PC help 7 years 6 months ago #827927

For the last couple weeks I have been looking at getting a new computer , but my knowledge of the up to date components and what is best is limited, if someone could give me some suggestions on what parts to get that would be great,

I’m looking at just buying the parts separately and getting it built at a PC shop

Any constructive help is appreciated

Edit - Looking to spend anywhere between 600-800 on it

at that budget just dont get a 500GB ssd get like a 100GB. (also get a 1TB HDD)
you also dont need ddr4 ram, dd3 does fine and you can always upgrade it.

If you're gonna get a good processor, you're gonna have to get the ram to go with it

Still you dont need ddr4 , ddr3 runs fine.

Im on about compatibility issues. If you find an LGA1151 socket with DDR3 ram then ill take it all back

I'd recommend either get a lower capacity (128GB) SSD or no SSD at all to begin with to save yourself some money. No need to go all out from the start, you can always upgrade (getting an SSD, higher capacity HDD / SSD, more RAM, etc.) at a later date.

Lower capacity is a good idea but never go without one, slow as fuck

SSD's are there for the boot times and program loading times, they do make a massive difference in that sense. SSD's benefit your build so much more than HDD's but at a higher cost:size ratio
