TOPIC: Hip Hop / Rap Appreciation Thread

Hip Hop / Rap Appreciation Thread 7 years 6 months ago #825138

This topic is specifically to share Hip Hop / Rap, doesn't matter if it's Old School or New School, as long as it falls under the category then it's fine.

RULES:
No Eminem (he's trash)
No Trap (it's not hip hop or rap)

I'll start by sharing some great albums / projects.

WARNING: OFFENSIVE WORDS / RACIST WORDS!

On some real shit,as much as i like pac and all it's undeniable that he's overrated as fuck, and all them little kids who don't know anything about hip hop and listened to like 1 or 2 of pac's songs and then proceed to call him the greatest rapper that ever lived just made it worse for me.

Pac had a great energy and influence, but on the lyricism side he wasn't nowhere near the best.

I always wondered why people liked his music, I am not gonna lie I think any rapper (and a perfect example for this is lil peep) that dies, their music just suddenly seems to get some sort of hype beast attention toward it.

Exactly,if pac was still alive i doubt he'd be as big of a name as he is right now.

On the other hand, here's some other dope tunes.

tbh rap today is different then back then i dont think it will go back and if it does im not sure if it will have the same feel, just like ssrp.

this is debatable by many people but this is just in my opinion.

Might trigger some old school rap fans but I couldn't get into Tupac's music either I really just wasnt feeling what I was compared to other artists.
