You really seem to hate the way things are done around here, makes me wonder why you're still here.
Literally none of what you say is true, I have yet to see suggestions or applications ignored because they've gone to the second page, they get ignored due to a mistake, there's a reason for categories and that's so that forums staff can view their shit easier, if someone such as Chute wants to do the powerpoint for the SSRP meeting he will look at the applications made since the last meeting containing "SSRP" in the title.
This is how it has been since the forums got re-made and everything has run perfectly smooth, if I'm correct the old website had both DM's and a shoutbox, it just doesn't do anything and really isn't needed, people will use Steam if it's important or whatever, but people use the forums as it helps keep them active, most of the posts which are supposed to be aimed at one person are a joke and clearly open for the entire forum to join in on, such as if someone got a funny kill in Murder records it and puts it on the forums aiming at that person, if it's funny they're going to want to share it and make a joke out of it.
I see no issue with the way things are currently and I hope the forums do not change because one person doesn't like the fact that threads which are seen as "important" go back two pages, you need to remember they're not gone forever, they're just not the first thing you seen, if a thread is truly deemed important it will get pinned, or if the user sees their post going to the second page they have the ability to bump it.
Cool dab at me at the start got me good
They don't get ignored. They miss out on feedback. Due to them being pushed down. I think that was clear, I don't know how many times I have to write out the same sentence for you.
Clicking on the ZARP logo or going to the home or whatever is the MAIN way of viewing topics. Rarely anyone goes to a specific category to view specific posts, mainly LT and higherups but other than that, not really. It's INTENDED, and DESIGNED to be viewed mainly from the recent topics page. Otherwise, the HOME would be the category menu page. Also, pretty easy-to-grasp topic. You also pointed it out yourself, that someone like Chute. Again, a higherup. You explained your own point, why even keep it in.
The @user shit didn't start until recently, which is why I brought it up. Recently. I feel like I'm explaining this to a child. It does run smoothly, all my post is is a PSA type of thing. As mentioned before, it brings down suggestions and applications and refrains them from getting feedback, whilst the @user shitposts, get "FeelsGreatMan" replies. Needed way more than actual feedback, right guys?
Making a joke out of something or whatever is fine, dramahole and whatnot. But again, make the post a bit more filling, make it more like involving or whatever.
I saw one it was aimed at someone, and it was just like saying thank you for something. Was it really needed? Fuck the needed part, was it even wanted? Not really.
I don't want the forums to change from like a server-perspective if you mean by that. Again, it's more of a PSA type of thing, and I made it pretty obvious.
I go back a few pages to check on applications or some important shit, fuck it or even general discussion things, but I shouldn't. They get overwhelmed way faster, and I know a lot of people don't go back a few pages, again, making posts that need actual feedback not actually get it.
Also, about the getting pinned part - this is mainly about recent topics. No one gonna pin that shit lmao. Also, as said before, bumping is a bad comprimise.
