Competitive games generally only match you with people on your own skill level, so if you can't play against these guys maybe you don't deserve SE?

The good thing with that is the fact that if you lose a match you're not immediately in the wrong rank. Everybody has bad games, even dreadful games, it just means you'll be closer to a lower rank because of it. In the end it all evens out, and there's always room for more growth.
