Introduction
I am most likely going to try and manage an individually-hosted Zarp CSGO competitions, with a team ladder, properly managed matches, etc. I've attemped doing something similar, with great support, around 2 years ago. The post for that can be found here:
Old forum post about competitons
I've done something similar to the past, and I would do my best to manage it, and see where it goes from there. This wouldn't be treated lighty, I'd do my best to take as good care of it as I can. I have experience in Competition/Matchmaking, Tons of experience in CSGO itself, and I really think this could work. This isn't the main post of CSGO zarp competitions, it's more-so a "what if" post. For reference, I'd like to know how I should go about managing it, what I should and should not do, how many people I would expect to sign up, etc.
For that, I will have a few polls regarding those issues, so please, vote appropriately. If you have any comments, suggestions, feedback or anything of the sort, I would much appreciate if you opened a debate down in this thread with replies. So, he goes. This poll will decide the outcome of how, if this was to happen, I would go about managing it, making sure that the popular vote passes, so everyone is happy in the competition:
Survey
Match-teams
1. If this was to be in place, would you want the match times to be set by the teams and their leaders (most likely option) or by the competition manager on a specific date and time?

Leagues
2. This question is purely based on the success of this. If it got popular enough, balance would be an issue. Do you think there should be different leagues? Aka, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, with appropriate rewards for each league, or should there only be one big ladder competition?

Rewards
3. Rewards are potential, but it will be a difficult issue to solve. Would you be OK doing this for fun, Would like some rewards but are OK with doing it just for fun or you wouldn't do it without rewards?

Live-stream
4. Again, this is purely hypothetical, however would you like to see these matches live streamed?

Commentators/Casters
4.1. Would you like the competitions to be casted or commentated? It would be amateur, local to the community volunteers, however, still commentated and casted nonetheless.

5. What tick rate should the competition servers be set for?

EU/NA separate competitions
6. World locations and times are hard to set up, and depending on the success of it, would you like competitions to be split in EU and NA? Or would you be OK with playing with higher pings?

Team registration
7. Would you like it to be so that you can only register a team, or sign up as a single person and be assigned to a team, in a matchmaking type fashion or let there be their own forum posts looking for teammates?

Conclusion
These answers should help me in managing this, if this was to come to life. I do strongly suggest reading my linked forum post that I made 2 years ago to get the idea, however, this might be a little different, and it's currently purely for CSGO only.
I would LOVE some feedback, as that is literally the most important thing right now. Any suggestions, discussions, literally anything would be amazing.
