Watched Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas recently. Really enjoyed it!! Hilariously weird and surreal with a weirdly out of place dark ass couple of scenes near the end.

Now that I think about it I have not seen a movie (In theaters) in a very long time. I couldn’t tell you what movie I saw last tbh. Might have been End Game though, and that was when it came out so it was like April 2019 lol... I don’t like going to theaters and watching movies because I’m a boring person and I always get headaches there anyways. The popcorn is good though

I couldn't keep up with the pacing and the psychedelic mumbling. Even when I'm experienced in reading subtitles fast, the movie proved a challenge. Didn't finish it but might have to go back to it.

You and one other person mentioned The Truman Show and I agree, it's a great Jim Carrey movie. It's quite telling how, released in 1998, it eerily resembles modern society; how we "follow" a person through social media and the trials the very person follows. Perfect ending!

Watched Hereditary most recently at home.

As much as I enjoy how messed up it is, I'm not sure I agree with the premise that it's one of the best horror films of recent years. Don't ask me why, I just think that there are others that hold a special place. Don't Breathe is especially nasty and resonates with way more people. As is A Quiet Place.

In the theatres, I don't really remember. I don't even know if I've seen any films this year tbh

Watched it, had no idea what's going on, hated it, my first thought through the film was is the mother and son were mental as she listed of her family memebers who died as mentally unwell so I thought title hereditry and tried too link it, turns out the film is just bonkers

Bear with me here, but the long and short of it is: The psycho grandma belonged to a cult and was leading it, raised her granddaughter (who I think may have some form of mental issue) to be the vessel for her cult's object of worship, Paimon.

But Paimon no like vagina.

So after grandma died of being a selfish bitch, her cult starts the process of getting Paimon BEST BOI BODY, which happens to be pothead grandson.

Cult decides to murder entire family, including bitch-ass mom, logical and caring dad, and daughter who was Paimon's original vessel but not good nuff.

But they don't murder them normally. Nah, they let their demon Daddy Dom murder the family by possessing objects and people and beheading a 13-year-old girl with a telephone pole

Film ends with Paimon being the granddaughter in the grandson's body being worshipped by naked cult members with the headless corpses of granddaughter, mom and grandmother in the room worshipping too because that's how to make movie big scare

Yeah I got that at the end it just didn't make sense for me though like that's what was being said throughout the whole movie but I thought it would be like a shutter island twist (wont' spoil it for those who havn't seen), I guess I was just hoping for more

I watched Contract Killer, not the best movie to watch as the filming wasn't very good with a constant unpredictable movements of the camera.

Inglorious Basterds, Tarantino simply keeps amazing me!

Good movie, btw.
True, hans landa is an amazing villain
Couldn't help but constantly compare him to Django : Unchained's Dr. King Schultz, they're both fantastic and fun Germans

Django is on my watchlist but I really enjoyed Christopher Waltz's performance and the bar scene. Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs are iconic Tarantino films. But I find his style sometimes exhausting and can't watch two Tarantino films in a day.

A zombie film that excels in emotions and sacrifice. Great movie!
You absolutely need to watch Django, simply incredible actors and a really cool story. Masterpiece of a movie

Santa Sangre, a Jodorowsky film. While not as confusing as the imagery in "The Holy Mountain", the story is compelling and easy to follow. Don't watch a Jodorowsky film at night though.

+ I was suspicious of Hereditary and didn't watch it. Watchlist is too big at the moment anyway.

One of cinema's chilliest antagonists with a bowl cut and cattle-gun. Great actors and direction! But if we're listing No Country for Old Men, I might have to slide in my favourite Coen brothers movie, Fargo, because underrated.
