TOPIC: Why new players don't stay

Skeleton posted a video that I believe does a wonderful job illustrating why ZARP is so unfriendly to new players. These issues make it impossible for a new player to experience the server to it's fullest, and certainly are not conducive to future growth of the server.

true, old zarp members keep quitting and new players cant do anything in the server so ssrp player base going down.
a hard reset would be dope.

Atleast just be harsh and remove the suits and overpowered shit, it'd be good for the server tbh.

The whole part about 1 button and the whole problem is true. I've been in many bases and when someone raids all we do is pull gluon and win.

SSRP is too far gone, even if it got wiped it wouldn't be what it was.

Id remove all suits gluon guns handcannons. Like it was back in the day, tgun was the shit but it was hella expensive.

A reset will not happen, since so many players have spent money on booster packs, and they would lose it all. Unless, they get something for the stuff they have. - SSRP is not new player friendly, at all. Also, adding in the suits and OP weapons ruined everything.. I miss good old zarp

The problem isn't the op shit.
It's the fact that new players can't get them without grinding for incredibly long or buying booster packs. It's obvious that any darkrp server that introduce end-game material will end up with a lot of players being rich and thus overstuffed compared to beginners on the long run.

The way to make it somewhat balanced so the gap beetwen the two is not overwhelming is to have some way for new players to grind up to them via quests/jobs/special unlocks that can only be achieved once per account. Unfortunately zarp economy did not do that and instead had updates with wheels and cases which in one way is what makes zarp what it is but also essentialy made it so that some people got incredibly rich in very little time and once the update ends the only way to get the items are trough player's shops where the prices quickly rise to ridiculous ammount that no new player could afford with the current money making systems available.

Because as much as stuff like t-guns/jugg/handcannon ruined raiding as people from 2014 or 2015 experienced it, it also made what zarp is today standing up from your average zarp server and you all can't say you haven't had your fun with it.
