TOPIC: [TTT] Fresh False Warns Appeal

Story/Situation - I was warned by Miia for calling an RDMer a "retard", I asked them in chat about what I did wrong and didn't receive an explanation. All of this occurred between 22:10 and 22:38 (GMT) about 3 weeks ago.

As you may remember, I have already attempted to appeal these warnings, but I was told my use of the word retard falls under disrespect. However, I recently came across this thread, where I quote "Describing something as retarded never has been used in against to punish someone as far as I'm aware" -Clarky. The member of staff clearly states that the use of the word "retard" isn't against the rules, all I ask is that either the staff admit that the word "retard" is against the rules and therefore Froyo should be punished, or my warnings are removed, as clearly staff are allowed to say "retard" and they must abide by the same rules as players.

The rules clearly state that discrimination is against the rules, also so is disrespect. You used a slur in a disrespectful manner and thats why you were punished.

It depends on the context of the word whether it is breaking any rules are not. What Clarky said is true, no one has been punished as far as i am aware for describing something as retarded as seen in that screenshot, no one was hurt as it was not directed at anyone. However you did not describe something as being retarded you just called someone a retard, which does fall under disrespect which is why you were warned.

Don't want any demotion, I like Miia at the end of the day, just think that if staff are allowed to say "retard", then I shouldn't be punished for doing so.

Hello Hopgop1, I've taken a look at your appeal, first of all thankyou for appealing!

After looking at the evidence you showed us from this link this describes a "thing" not a person, whilest calling someone a retard is indeed still disrespect.

If you called someone a retard then that is disrespectful, but it is raising some concerns if staff are doing this.
