JarredInator's ban dispute 9 years 5 days ago #228411

Name - What is your ingame name? JarredInator

STEAM-ID - What is your STEAM-ID? STEAM_0:1:42883693

Admins name - Who banned you/who might it be? Jordan

Reason - What is/might be the reason that you got banned? I told you to stop or be banned - Playing arabaic music

Server - What server did you get banned from? SSRP

Time - How long were you banned for? 1 Day

Story - What happend? Playing Arabic music. Got banned.

Proof - Any proof on a video/screenshot that clearly show what happened?

Extra information - Any thing you think may be relevant to your ban.

The reason on why the last 1 got denied
The ISIS and arabic songs are taken as serious as racist

The song has nothing to do with IS/ISIS
If you're calling Arabic songs racist you're pretty racist yourself

As the reasons for my denial are invalid I'm remaking my dispute.

Saleel al-Sawarim / Salil Sawarim (“Clashing of the Swords”) is an Arabic propaganda song created by the Islamic jihadist extremist militant group ISIS. Due to its frequent usage by the ISIS in their propaganda videos, the song has been sampled in a variety of parodies and remixes on YouTube.

Got Shazam to listen to the song and it turned out to be this.

Arabic songs are not racist, while ISIS propaganda songs are.

Nasheed Saleel Sawarim was used in an ISIS related video, however the song was never ment to be used for ISIS content. Saleel al-Swarim {Clashing of the swords} is a song ment for IS/ISIS use. The songs are different and the same. However the song I played had nothing to do with ISIS/IS in any way.

It's like playing Take me to church by Hozier and then saying you're offending gay people.

Sounds a bit like the ISIS march to me, but just my 2 cents

It's because they're practically the same, however have different type of meanings.

If that's true then fair enough and I think it is not you who is racist, it is the others. I do not see how an Arabic song could be tagged as racist to be honest, +support (Baring in mind my ipad won't play the song)

The song was used in multiple of ISIS's disgusting videos, anyone who would listen to the song would instantly associate it with ISIS, I myself, instantly shudder when I listen to the song, if you spoke Arabic I'm sure you would understand, the lyrics are something would definitely put fear into anyone's heart if they understood it properly.

The lyrics I have/got don't bring fear to me whenever I read it, however it may be different for you if you speak the language yourself and it may come intimidating when spoken in own language. And the song, {Nasheed-Saleel Sawarim} was never used for any IS/ISIS use from what I've gotten from 3-4 hours of research. However this may be wrong because of all the brainwashing the current politicians are doing these days.

I guess Blocked described it accuratley.
Let's face it.
You knew you had the chance of being banned, don't even try to deny it, it's true, yet you still have played it, therefore taking the risk of being punished, and there you have it, you got banned.

As I myself believe there is nothing wrong with the song I wouldn't see any see to stop. I was about to change to radio manager however got chuckled up in a conversation with a random stranger and didn't had the time to change.

Even if it would be mic spamming, 1 day without a real warning beforehand is really rough.

You have already been told about this in your last appeal it was pretty offensive towards people and is not allowed.
If you're not sure about something you're playing I recommend not playing it.
