TOPIC: [SSRP] Banned for the same thing mods do.

Name - General comrade

Admins name - TeaLeaf
Reason - mass rdm at christmas tree
Server - dark rp
Time - 1 week
Story - I used an rpg too kill a guy who had a hit on him and other people died. GMOD TROLLER was a hitman and did the exact same thing with an orbital to kill 2 guys with hits and the admins said it was okay because it was hit related. but i did the same crap and got banned for a week.
Proof - Any proof on a video/screenshot that clearly show what happened?

See this is where the problem falls. There is no set ruleset for this. Personally I would allow it if the players killed where fine with it and/or did not wish to report you. Otherwise you'd warned twice. Gmod troller would be in the same trouble.

Do you see the problem? Both me, Jack, RedPowder and that have different amounts of discretion so our decisions vary.

P.S. This is not mass RDM

i think personally it should be allowed as you were killing a target but like soxey said it is based on what the admin rules as it isn't a set rule to deal with this situation.

An Admin needs to check who banned him and when because I don't remember banning him and it wouldn't of been for that if I banned you it was for a reason and I for sure wouldn't ban you and then let someone else do it.

I have just gotten on SSRP to check and it was brother TeaLeaf that banned you for "mass rdm around the xmas tree". I will try to get into contact with him regarding the ban.

If the story is true, someone could check logs for kill times and maybe he could see completed hit. But i think he saw from somewhere else and came to you for ban you. I dont think tea banned you randomly. If story was like that you can get unban.

Feedback:
I have spoken to the Admin that banned you and have decided to accept your ban appeal. It has been accepted because of a previous situation where you pointed out that someone orbitaled the spawn for a hit and an Admin said it was ok. In the rules is says an Admin's word is final so at the time you killed him with the RPG for the hit you were under the influence that it was in compliance with the rules and you should not be banned for something an Admin said was ok. However it is mingey to complete hits like that killing many innocent people and will be brought up in the lead team meeting about whether or not it is to be allowed/disallowed.
