TOPIC: Banned for having a Build sign wich wasnt mine.

Reason - He stated that i had a building sign and i had raidable goods inside (I tried deleting the ''Sign'' as i could not i gawe up)
Server - I was banned from Gmod Darkrp server.
Time - I was banned for aprox 3 days
Story - I was going to build a base with my friend and he put a build sign up then he left the server and forgot to delete it.I tried to get rid of it but i just could not,even if he was disconeccted(probably a glitch).So i said well they might not care about the building sign and feel free to try to raid me.I started making ''stuff' and then my computer locked me away.I was trying to get in my comp for 1,5 hours and finally got it to work.As it started i saw the Box saying Banned by Capitan Ap4tch3 reason: having a build sign with raidable goods.
Proof - As i said i was locked away from the computer( my windows being retarded again)so i dont really have a screenshot of anything only the ban box
Extra information - Well i dont really break rules so i cant write anything.This is my first ban and i believe it was a misunderstanding.

Hi, if you could, please edit in any screenshots of the building sign into your original post DO NOT MAKE A NEW POST FOR THE SCREENSHOTS.
Also, could a forum mod move this into the "Unban Appeals" section?

Well i cant put any screenshots in because i was banned and my computer locked me out.

It seems you knew the rules and still done it anyways. Many possibilities to prevent this event. Could've asked your friend to delete the sign.

Ah but we, do not know how your computer was operating at the time. For all we care, you might be lying. 1,5 hours of the computer being locked? I would understand like 5 or less, but 90 minutes? You might want to check that out.

Even if it wasnt your building sign you took the risk either way. You knew you could get banned for it yet you didnt cover it or base somewhere else. I say wait the ban out. Plus you dont have proof it wasnt your sign.

I've seen alot of people do this, two people base with each other and one spawns the base and the other puts the sign. When the staff finds it out, you say it was my friend to prevent this situation.

I will speak to the admin that banned you soon as I get on and edit my post with what decision we came up with. I would recommend using your time while you wait to read over the rules as you clearly admitted to knowing the sign was there so its just as bad as putting it up yourself.

Just a quick headsup: When someone logs off the server and they have props, they disappear when they have logged off.

I would've felt sorry for you if you didn't actually know who placed the sign and it turned out to be someone completely detached from your base but the fact is that you knew your friend had a building sign there and should have checked to make sure he removed it once you began buying printers and other stuff.
