TOPIC: [SSRP] Phantom's Demote Appeal

Name - What is your ingame name? Phantom

Reason - What is/might be the reason that you got banned? Abuse of powers
Server - What server did you get banned from? SSRP
Story - What happend? Basically I was messing about with Angelus, igniting each other and hanging me etc. (I found out later he was actually busy but I didn't realise at the time), I then started getting slapped about. I didn't realise you could set a /slap to automatically slap people repeatedly with just one command, so I thought he was just spamming "/slap Phantom", I started doing the same to him, spamming "/slap Angelus". Then the server crashed. That's the story, now the important bit; I am truly sorry for what I did and I will never mess around with that command again. If you give me a second chance, it will not be a mistake. I will never abuse my powers in that way, or any way, again. My deepest apologies, -Phantom

When I first came on TS to find that Phantom had been demoted I instantly asked why. Once told the reason I was in shock because as far as I knew, new moderators should be given warnings and mistakes are made all of the time. I mean let's be honest. Who hasn't made a huge mistake and accidentally TP'd a large number of players or crashed the server (Elemental) by accident. I do not think that it was his slap command that crashed the server and maybe it could've added to it but definitely not crashed it that easily. Maybe the server lag we have been getting for a day and a half now might've contributed to it but oh well.

I feel this demotion was too harsh with no warnings. I mean lets just check around the other reported staff members who have been given countless warnings. Maybe give him another chance and have someone to mentor him like what should've been done in the first place.

Sounds like you fucked up pretty bad.

I think you should give Phantom another chance definitely. He is a great mod he helped me lots. I don't want him to loose his post as being Moderator.

I agree with what's already been stated. I think this guy has right for another chance as he know the rules and overall seem like a nice guy :3

My reaction to seeing this post was "already?". To be quite honest I understand your situation and you do deserve a second chance. But god damn that was fast. You got it and within a day you where demoted. Very classy.

I also agree with you guys, I think Phantom should be given another chance, he was amazing mod, and if he would be given another chance, it would be awesome.

Me and Xhantium did say you could reapply. I've already accepted your apology, but we thought it would be the best for now to see if you would get the message that command spam and abusing wasn't exactly the best way to do it (Even after I politely asked you to stop, you continued on with the commands, which is what I'm most iffy about.) Sure, other people have done it in the past, but they never usually get away with it, admin or moderator.

We also said that you can freely reapply for moderator whenever you feel like it, and we will discuss it normally over the next meeting. Though Xhantium suggested to do it within the next three weeks seeing how edgy the staff are about it, with this support behind your back, I say you could reapply this week and have a fairly good chance on reclaiming your moderator status.

I know that Phantom wishes for this appeal to be locked, but just keep in mind for the future that you guys should listen carefully to both sides of a matter before making a biased judgement. Phantom was a great mod but didn't have a lot of time to prove it. I hope he can prove it in the near future - Best of luck!! ^^
