This time was met by spectrum and if hes not motivated to play he can easily do most of the job of a headadmin out of game. These jobs being
- Tasks on the weekly onenote.
- filling out weekly spreadsheets for meetings
- Any other things that have been adding since I resigned.
I just want to point out something here: we have attempted to get Spectrum to do these things and they did not happen. Spectrum was given a sanction to play consistently on the server over the course of 2 weeks showing a good attitude and interacting with staff and other Lead Team members, and the fact of the matter is that this was not done. We attempted multiple times to speak with Spectrum and remind him about the sanction, and when he decided to revoke his resignation we did our best to make it clear to him that the sanction would still be active and what it would entail.
To quote the policy on sanctions:
The sanction should be completed to a high standard
When the sanction is to play on the server consistently over the course of 2 weeks, by only connecting to the server on 2 days, it is really not possible to argue that this sanction was completed. We tried to give Spectrum some other things he could've done if he was looking for more to do, including OnionRings taking the time to plan out an event that he could've done which we thought users would've really enjoyed, but Spectrum did not want to do this. With the Lead Team rota, all members of the Lead Team also have the opportunity to choose a task to do throughout the week. Whilst we were discussing Spectrum's sanction and the further action to take on it, he gave his task away to someone else.
We do fully recognise that Spectrum worked hard to get to the rank of Head Admin, but that is something which still needs to be upheld in the position, as there are responsibilities of all ranks, especially Lead Team positions, which we do expect to be fulfilled, and as it stands, if someone is not motivated to carry out these responsibilities, or if they think the server is "boring", it does beg the question of whether or not they should remain in the role.
If you have an issue with OnionRings, Jamie, feel free to contact myself or Chute and we are more than happy to explain to you the hard work and effort that OnionRings is putting into the server and how much he is helping out, in a way that makes him more than deserving of all of his current positions.
