TOPIC: [DISCORD] Clarky's Ban Appeal

Discord ID: Unsure, I was banned by the Discord banning system anyways and not the Dyno bot.

Story: I was mentioned in a message by a couple people who asked me to come join the voice chat and I joined the voice chat to being greeted by other various members of the community.

As the users within the channel knows, I had been playing a different server they are all familiar with (regardless if they knew about it or not does not matter) and was asked the question to show my virtual vehicle in said server so I decided to use the screen share functionality and we were all talking in general about said server, no one was saying nor trying to advertise it even with malicious intent.

The voice chat had gotten pretty loud with a lot of people talking and screaming down their microphones with TheXnator then joining the call which I couldn't really hear him so I just said out of hesitation that "I was only showing off my car" but I didn't know I was being told to stop or was going to be banned for it.

About a minute later, I was then permanently banned along with some other members for "advertising other communities" which simply just was not true which then caused a lot of controversy as what we were doing was allowed.

Extra Information: Being told "it's against TOU" and nothing else does not help whatsoever, I am not even sure what part of TOU I had broken. Even on the forums, there was a link directing to the community in question and the thing is everyone who were staff at the time allowed it including one of the owners which is just very confusing how this sudden changed has occurred (it was edited out by the user themselves for their own reasons). People had shared content that were recorded in other communities and then shared on places such as the forums and Discord, in fact there is still content around the forums in threads, posts, signatures, etc.

I'm not trying to be a dick about this at all, this had caused genuine confusion for so many people including myself and a permanent ban is just way out of order let alone punishing someone for this in the first place. Feel free to have a rule added about doing this stuff if it really bothers the staff team but members of the community are more convinced it is allowed from what is stated and has been displayed in different areas of the community to then suddenly being different with no previous notice beforehand.

Anyways, I really liked using the ZARP Discord to keep in touch with a lot of people due to me not really playing any of the servers anymore. Me being banned has made me feel more separated from these people as we all cannot talk with each other in the #general-discussion and have general conversations and share memes with each other.

Before coming to a final decision if possible we could actually talk about it in a civilised manner on TS or in DM? I can promise that I'm not doing this to cause staff any hassle but I'd rather try my best to give you guys a much better understanding of not only mine prospective but many other people's too.

Aren't you able to like mute and warn with Dyno ? I honestly don't think this needs a ban from discord so imagine a permanent ban. This punishment is over exaggerated. Free Clarky !

So you cry to people about saying Perp but perp is actually a gamemode and zarp used to have a perp server. Its only advertising another community if they say the community's name. They're otherwise advertising a game mode which ive not heard is a rule break.
