Question for those who claim they "did not hear" me: Why did you respond to me saying things such as "we're just streaming" and "I'm just showing off my car" when I asked you to stop the first time and still didn't stop when I said three times and reminded you when people had quietened down a little that you'd been warned and I'd have to take action if you didn't stop with it?
i never replied to you as i never heard you, everyone stopped speaking then nothing was said and i was gone, maybe other people in the call responded for us? but i never heard you say anything towards me or anyone else that was streaming.
This just isn't true Baxter, you were one of the people who laughed when I asked you to stop, and when you saw codabro getting banned you laughed along and said something along the lines of "well see ya I guess lads" and argued that you "didn't show their logo or name" (despite having shown both when you were joining). The person who said "I'm just showing off my car" was Clarky.
Sorle, this was not a decision made by me. Myself, Chute, OnionRings and Martin all agreed prior to me even joining the Discord call. I was not even the one who brought it up or suggested banning the users involved. I'd appreciate less of the assumptions that I am simply "ruling" the community or anything like that. I don't have anything against specific members, if I could, I'd rather sit down and code than deal with things like this, so have absolutely no reason to go out of my way to make things up.
You guys don’t say what the rules are, the rules page says what the rules are and the TOU, from what literally everyone else is aware it’s allowed what we were doing (once again read the previous posts so you have a much better understanding)
As a former Community Manager, Clarky, I would expect you to know that when you're unsure of a rule and a staff member joins and says "hey don't do this", you shouldn't continue to do it, make excuses and then lie later down the line about it claiming you didn't hear them telling you to stop. You should stop doing it and, if needed, clarify with a higher up (or in this case another Owner) and make a report if you feel it was incorrectly handled. If you continue, you're kind of asking to be punished for it and can't pull the "I didn't know" card.
I'd like to add, I wasn't planning to ban anyone from the start - after we agreed to deal with it by banning people who were advertising the other community (advertising being something we've never allowed, and in this context, it was quite obviously advertising, it was the ZARP Discord, not their Discord). I clearly said to the others on Teamspeak beforehand I was going to join, ask you guys to stop and give you a chance to do so and ban those who didn't. Everyone in the channel agreed to this, and I'm quite disgusted that you think me agreeing to something with other Owners and Head Admins is a reason to call me petty or throw insults.
Advertising other communities has never been allowed on ZARP, I'm not going to discuss anything further on this thread, but feel free to message me on Discord if you want to discuss things in a civil way (that offer stretches out to anyone).
this is genuinely just a non-argument
just about everything you've said can be argued against at significant length or just straight disproven but i'm not here to do that
take a break man, step back for a bit, remove yourself from all of this shit, come back with a fresh outlook in however long you need, focus on other things in life whether that be your general wellbeing or your family or anything, developing hobbies etc., give yourself a somewhat clean slate over a short period of time and know that if such a significant majority heavily goes against what you're saying while having access to just about all necessary information, they're probably not wrong
i genuinely wish you the best as a person but some amount of growth simply just needs to occur
