Punishment Reason - AFK as COP
Server - S1
Story/Situation - i was eating while online as a cop on the server, when i came back i saw that i had been warned and demoted by spooktrum. I asked other players if i misread the rules and was not allowed to be afk as a cop and they confirmed to me that there were no such rules

Extra Information - I checked the rules to be sure, and correct me if im wrong there are no rules about neither beign afk nor afk specifically as a law enforcement job. I get it that he would demote me if someone wanted the job but warning me for something that is not even a rule is a little extreme

From what I heared spectrum has told you multiple times and also forced you from cop multiple times. I'm quite certain that Spectrum wouldn't talk to you whilst you were AFK, since that makes no sense whatsoever - I think he did inform you of your wrongdoings. Secondly, going AFK multiple times as a PD job, especially after being told off previously does warrant a punishment, but it's up to the staff member to determine if they will warn you or not.

being AFK as a police officer is technically breaking rules even though none are provided thats specifically say. Basically, as a cop you can AFK for paychecks or cop XP, this leads to an unfair advantage, not only this, when you are AFK as a police officer, you are not filling your role as a police officer correctly, meaning you can be demoted for it. its not normal to warn on the first time caught doing this, as most users are unaware that they are breaking any rules, however from what I have read, this is not the first time that spectrum has caught you. Personally this is valid.

Hey NercoLive,

After looking through your appeal, I've decided to accept it. Spectrum has retroactively decided to remove your punishment. You should however keep in mind that a punishment does not necessarily need to be based on a written rule. Our rules are supposed to ensure a fun and safe environment on our servers, but they are not perfect. Some offenses are considered punishable but are not (yet) included in the rules. Being AFK in any job potentially prevents other players that actually want to play as said job from doing so. If a staff member sees you being AFK, they may demote you if they think it's appropriate. This happens especially often when the player is in a law enforcement job, since they receive higher paychecks and require XP to level up, which can be gained over time. In these cases we sometimes give out warnings to let the player know once they come back and remove them right after. If the player continues to deliberately go AFK in these jobs it's perfectly fine to give them a permanent warning, as they have been told off by a staff member leading up to it.

Your warning will be removed within the next 24 hours!
