Punishment Reason - Impersonation
Server - TTT
Story/Situation - I jokingly changed my name to sorie, and then my name was force changed back to kato without any warning in game, so I assumed it was no biggie, seeing as Sorle is a friend of mine and it had zero affect on the game as I was dead when I changed it. Then later I was offline warned by Nina
Extra Information - I never received any sort of warn in game telling me to change it, but I did get poked in TS (which I had muted at the time) by Turtle to change it, if I was told in game I would've changed it immediately as I meant no harm in what I did

I sometimes question your staffing ability for example:
When in game your were shouting "jugger". I asked you what it meant and you said it is a Canadian word for the n-word

So I was under the impression you have been told previously not to impersonate another player in game. You changed your name to Sorle, as soon as Sorle joined the server. I have been told you have been given countless warnings about this. When I was told this, I sent you a message to let you know to change it. Gave you time to respond to that and then acted on the fact you failed to do it. I then changed your name for you, just in case you did not see my message to you. I then kept an eye on you to see if you would revert back to your old name, that I told you was not alright. So you were given countless chance to avoid this punishment.

1.1a In-Game Names
Your steam name must have readable characters that can also be pronounced in English to ensure that you can be targeted in-game. You cannot have the same name that another player/staff member has on the server, and your name cannot conflict with the TTT gamemode. Failure to change your name will result in punishment.

It'd be best to determine what the truth is by requesting the logs from House himself, even though this is not mandatory, it would indeed be nice so we all know for sure what had happened. Apparently Kato wasn't approached appropriately by the staff member (at least he claims so) so that should also be checked and determined if the truth is being told and if the staff member in question needs to be taught some basics when it comes to staffing.

I was on the server at the time, that’s definitely the truth, it was “sorIe”. I’m not exaggerating when i say it looked the exact same, as it does here on the forums too, and actually confused me a few times when i was looking on the F6 menu to check punishments and when he was speaking in the chat, i don’t see how this doesn’t directly break the impersonation rule. I don’t know much else about the situation but I was told he’s had many previous warnings about not doing this.

I understand it was done as a joke and sorle most likely didn’t mind at all, but it does confuse other people and staff that are handling situations, and especially on a gamemode like TTT, it creates a lot of confusion in scenarios such as when a player is KOSed and someone has the exact same name as them, which is the exact reason the rule exists.

In all seriosness, i don't exactly know what had happened though if he wasn't approached as he should have, then a punishment removal should indeed be taken into consideration, if he had numerous other punishments/verbals for Impersonation then that changes the story totally.

This is a good idea because with the current system you can’t even physically have the same name as someone else when you change it, meaning the only way to impersonate someone is to loophole the rule.

Then again, surely using common sense tells you this just comes under the loop holing section at the very top of the rules.

Hello Kato and thank you for making this appeal.

I have talked to staff members in question, Nina, Turtle and Eddie, who were all on the server at the time of this event. They all, and some other online staff members claim that you had a capital "I" instead of an "i" in your in-game name, pointing towards definite attempt of loopholing the 1.1a Impersonation rule. You had been told off not to break this rule in the past and regardless of that you still continued breaking it. You had many chances to avoid this punishment and for that reason, this appeal has been
