TOPIC: [Surf] Mr. Penguin's Ban Appeal

I don't know where you're supposed to make unban requests or if there's even a template for them buuut I'll just make my own

Reason for ban: Racism
Duration of ban: 1 day and 1 hour
The situation: I was asking an admin why my points had disappeared and trying to get help with the issue I had then someone said to me "wtf there aren't points in surf" so I said "<racial slur> I'm talking about the pointshop." The word the admin thought was racist is obvious but I believe that in the circumstance it was used there was clearly no racism. I tend to just use this word as a term of endearment ironically and anyone can see that I'm not trying to attack anyone by using it.

Also It would be nice if someone could also fix my points issue I have. (every time I join the server all my points and items reset and the points meter says "loading"

No matter in what context or way of saying it, the n word is very racist and this community has a zero tolerance policy. Can you please tell me who banned you?

Well that simply isn't true. The word isn't racist in itself that is stupid. Racism is determined by how said words are used. And you cannot say that the way in which I used it was racist

I understand the confusion behind this, and I would personally agree with you on the point that context is necessary in judging whether or not an individual is actively being racist, however the system at ZARP is quite contrary to that so that's what we have to go with.

Anyway then I don't agree with your view on it but sure... My second issue that I was originally trying to get solved: My points on the pointshop always say loading and reset every time I join the server. same with my inventory. I used to have thousands of points but they reset every time I join.

No matter the context, people can be offended and the words have meaning behind them. Fortunately your ban was not long and it will be over soon since it was only one day.
