Server Name: Prop Hunt
Suggestion Title: useful option for ghosters How would it benefit the server: may prevent ghosting Potential Issues/Exploits: none Additional notes: You can make an option that you can choose who you don't want to watch you. With this option, if someone is ghosting, you can enable this option on him and his friend. |

Good one, but here’s a better one:
//An include of the lua file that checks whether or not the selected player(s) have steam friends currently connected to the server which turns into an autorun that does this check to every new player connecting to the server automatically and then it performs something like the following:
Xplayer = currentteam
FriendPlayers = currentteam
If (Xplayer == FriendPlayers)
Then
Disablespec = false
Else
Disablespec = true
end |

I think the better alternative would just be to make both teams spectate hunters when dead, unless there's a reason this isn't done already that I am not aware of?

This could be abused so easily - One example would be if someone was hacking and he blocked the entire server from being able to spectate him, technically no one would be able to record him and gather evidence. The same goes for any other rulebreaks (e.g. exploiting, prop abuse, door blocking, etc). Giving staff immunity to this "block" would be a good step in the right direction but that still leaves several vulnerabilities such as the aforementioned one. IIRC I made a feature somewhere mid-Summer last year which would prevent people from being on different teams and/or spectating others if they were friends on Steam - This was subsequently removed as I was instructed by the rest of the CM team to do so, for reasons that I've forgotten by now. |

I think the message posted by Richard gives a very good reason why this should not be implemented.
