I have been staff on many a zarp gaming servers meaning I have attended many meetings across the community a multitude of times. This has been on my mind for a while but I have never put it across to anyone and I would like to hear both the community and fellow staff members opinions.
In order to vote during a meeting you have to have met the minimums for that server that week.
This does not mean staff members wouldn't be able to attend the meeting or even give their opinions on players. What it does mean is that staff members and cm team + who attend the meeting anyways and do not play on the server (that week) would not be able to vote.
Why do I believe this is a necessary change?
Without breaking NDA currently in meetings there are situations where 2 or 3 staff members will voice their opinion, usually the most active staff members or the most opinionated, everyone else will stay silent and then before the vote is even made a general consensus is reached. Why is this? Because the vocal staff members will decide the vote for the other staff that do not play on the server since they do not know the person who is applying or their attitude on the server.
Of course as a relatively new person to the zarp community since I only joined in 2019 sometimes old players will come back and I wont know their history so it is important that "old staff members" are there to give their opinion which is why I am suggesting that staff members still be able to give opinions regardless; however, this also gives another issue as if player A was cm banned 4 years ago and then gets uncmed, joins ttt, plays for a month and is friendly/#reformed it is unlikely that the staff members this suggestion would affect would see this players new attitude leading to them being denied for "trust issues".
Please leave feedback, I haven't used the template since I am suggesting a policy change however if it is needed I will edit one in.
