If it's a sudden hit to performance, it's likely there's something in the background utilising your resources. Try: Lowering graphical settings Lowering your game resolution Open Task Manager and check out the performance tab for high CPU, memory and disk usage Check for any background processes Check your CPU/GPU temps incase of any thermal throttling	.uzi Offline Former Community Manager Foos yer doos? First of all, if it's just gmod that is lagging try to disable your addons and verify your game cache for Gmod, HL2 and CS:S. If the issues persist re-install gmod and see if that fixes it. If the issue applies to other games try doing things listed below.

Try to recall any updates or changes applied shortly before the issues started. You may also want to look into your CPU and GPU stats to make sure all is running well and good. If you don't notice any issues try doing some general optimizations such as disk cleanups and shutting down software you don't need running.
