TOPIC: [MC] Texture/recource pack help

I have downloaded a texture pack and i do not know how to equip it i just got this zip file, what do i do?

Press Windows Key + R and type
Then go to your .minecraft folder and find the resource pack folder and drag the zip in.

First you must extract the file, If on windows. Open the searhc thing with windows key, input %appdata% go too .minecraft then recsource packs, drag and drop the extracted file from the zip.

Thanks guys but its saying its incompatible with the version i have any suggestions?
