What do gems do? What is the fastest way to get'em? What can we use em for?

gems where used for the wheel of zarp wich is removed now they are used for crafting

The fastest way to get Gems, is by mining ruby with a diamond pickaxe! You used to be able to use them on the Wheel of ZARP, for rewards like steam games, and in game items, but it's been removed as it was temporary.
