This will be a dedicated thread towards the increase of staff activity on ZARP, semi Serious Roleplay #1 (SSRP #1). As I am sure multiple threads like this would have been created in the past, this will be one which I hope people will recognise the issue with.
Over the past day or two of playing SSRP #1, I have noticed the lack of effort from a handful of staff members on multiple occasions. The past two days I have been playing SSRP #1, all that I seem to enjoy and be entertained by is nothing, there have been constant mass-random-death-match situations, prop-'minging' situations and clear, overall mass breaking of multiple rules which ZARP has set out. Higher-authority staff claim that their rules are quite heavily enforced by their staff team at nearly all points throughout the 24 hour day, this is not what I have witnessed. Staff members have been constantly AFK in the time of need, recently I have been in a situation where there were atleast 15 mass rulebreakers which no admin seen obliged to solve until the server unexpectedly crashed. I understand that staff are human beings and all have connections to the real world and have other things to be doing on a Thursday night, however having only one or two Moderators online with no Administrator when the server is still holding 55 players is really poor. From what I have noticed, these two moderators were trying their best to enforce the rules during this time however it clearly is too much to handle without assistance from high-authority members of staff. I created an F1 request about a mass-rdmer which had been running around spawn and breaking this rule, I had this moderator come to me 15 minutes later and apologise for the time I had to spent waiting for someone to actually come and help, at least he is apologising. I logged on to Teamspeak after this incident and asked multiple (6) staff members who were not located inside the Lobby/AFK channel to come and aid the two struggling moderators with countless F1 request - I was either ignored or told that they were busy, which is understandable, they are lives. I then asked the non AFK community manager who's name I shall not point out if he could help me, he did not help either. This lead to me asking one of the Head-Administrator's for assistance, he was aware of the situation and seemed to be trying to deal with the situation, but not in quick enough time. I am requesting that the community team take a leap to ensuring that rules are always being heavily enforced on SSRP #1 as I believe that this issue is leading countless players to leave the server in whatever way seems neccessary (having one administrator on at certain times of the day 20/30-90 players would be sufficient). I understand that: -Administrators have a right to go AFK by their own choice whenever they want as they are humans. -Most staff do try to be on the server whenever they can. -Not all staff are the same as how I pointed out. I request that this thread is not delelted or locked until the issue has been resolved. Community-team members, please try your best to solve this issue or you will continue to lose more and more players by the minute, that is a promise. I hope this got through to some people, feel free to discuss this with me in a replies, I mean't no offense to any staff members besides those who know they are not helping out enough on the server. Thank-you very much for reading and I hope improvements are made. (I realise that this thread may not be in the appropriate section, I was unsure of where to create it). |

Like you said yourself, you can never always expect staff to be online helping out on the server. However, I do agree that if a staffmember is online and playing another game that they should be available to help out whenever it is needed, which indeed is not something that always happens. Next time you come on the TeamSpeak you can poke me, I'm not a DarkRP staffmember, but I surely can try get them on the servers if it is really necessary. Next time something happens try and collect staffnames (with proof) and send it to one of the SuperAdmins or higher, so they can tell them to do their job. This is a problem that is there for ages, and it is already been worked on.

There are atleast 30 moderators and admins, surely they can't all be afk at the same time when the server needs dedicated members to help enforce the rules.. |
