TOPIC: Lua problem

So I've recently thought about coming back to Zarp, but my game keeps crashing when joining the server, and it crashes when the loading screen says "starting up lua". Does anyone know how to get this to work or what I need to do?

Verify game cache, try reinstalling Gmod/running the factory reset bat file in the Gmod files

could you explain further how to do all of these things? Do I need to download lua or something?

First of all, you might want to troubleshoot. Does this happen on ZARPGAMING SSRP servers exclusively, or on all servers - perhaps even in singleplayer games, too?

If it's an issue on ZARP servers only, then it's evident that the ZARP add-ons have been installed incorrectly, or something along those lines. If this is something that happens on all servers, and-or in singleplayer; try to disable or uninstall all add-ons completely to see if it has anything to do with the current add-ons you have installed.

Additionally, as Clarky stated, try to verify the game cache integrity of both Garry's Mod and any mounted game(s) you own (For instance, TF2 CS: Source, etc).

As a last resort, you might want to reinstall Garry's Mod and/or any mounted game(s) you have, this is usually the simplest solution but it works a vast majority of the time.
