Possible, but it would help if you got it recorded because i've had it happen to me before, And i've recently noticed items go missing from my inv

I doubt they havent noticed it, Just theres no proof its actually happening, As no one has proof, But it has been brought up many times in the past, Maybe its something they dont have 100% control of or are looking for a way to fix it.
