Also another question, since these policies are weirdly worded and two separate policies, under the “communications policy “ you’s state that after the 4th offense is a permanent community ban? Or are you’s just saying that it’s like just the type of ban on the servers. Quick way about it is it appealable after your fourth attempt. im sorry bro i just cannot take any of ur questions seriously while that fuckass forums and steam pfp just is staring me down LMAOthat's my fault for deciding that all (willing participants) zarp faces need to be joining the jazz band |

Surely instead of having this whole breakdown of what is mild doxing vs anything else why not have one huge blanket that is black and white, plain as day to understand. Any form of doxing or aiding with doxing on any zarp service will result in immediate community bans. I think that would be enough of a deterrent. As Clarky mentioned, not even 30 mins of these new policies coming into play someone did a "mild dox".
In regards to "public facebook" dropping someones facebook/full name should NOT BE DEEMED MILD. Do you know how quickly you can get information from just a single name? I mean smart idea is never add anyone from zarp on facebook because mutuals pop up and bam you have their facebook or anything they've ever been tagged in. I no longer have any desire to be malicious so did fuck all with knowing but this exact thing happened couple months back. Someone from this community randomly popped up as "people you may know", I made the choice to not look further into it but if someone wanted too they could have easily found all the information and things they were tagged in, also means instantly finding out someone's friends and family and of course normal people don't worry about malicious fuckers from some gmod community so it is all public, be it place of work or real life hobbies etc. I think you should seriously consider changing it to a blanket nothing is allowed with punishment being instant community ban. On top of that don't wavier this strictness for those few individuals who say each others names and then giggle only to bitch when someone else does it. Also before anyone thinks its a wise idea to dm me going WHO IS IT WHO IS IT?!?! I ain't saying shit, from my knowledge they ain't a nonce and even though I'm not a fan of them I ain't that pathetic (anymore) |

If only "mild doxxing" is allowed, why did this guy get unmuted after he said somebodys full house address? "Due to recent policy revisions, your permanent communication ban has been lifted as it no longer falls under the scope of offenses warranting such punishment. Please take this opportunity to reflect and ensure your future behavior remains in line with our community standards." So what does fall under the scope of a permanent communication ban if literally dropping somebody's house address doesn't? |

As far as I remember, the communication ban was introduced because we had a rampant "doxxing meta" where players on SSRP were just doxxing over the smallest of things, and because we had no doxxing policy back then, it always varied on how the doxxing situation would be handled as there was no due process on what a "doxxing" punishment would be or what we considered doxxing or not. But now that you have an actual doxxing policy, then shouldn't the communication ban just be made redundant and retired? All doxxing should result in a CM ban no matter what since if you allow a little bit of grey area, people are going to loophole the shit out of it.
In terms of Threats/Harassment being used for communication bans, like why, tho? It doesn't really seem fair that a "threat" can be on the same level of punishment as doxxing. Threats/Harassment were always deemed either chat mutes or bans (if serious), and I never really saw anyone complain, so I don't see any reason to keep communication bans a thing. If anything, you should probably just change Communication Bans into a Communication Mute that is just a combining of Chat Mute/Voice Mute and treat it like Chat Mutes/Voice Mutes were treated and not this new doxxing shit. |

So if I doxx on SSRP I get 3 chances, but on any other ZARP service it's a CM ban? Nope, just to clarify: Communication Bans are a "new" form of punishment. They are not exclusive to doxxing and can be given out for continued harassment or other forms of continued verbal abuse. Doxxing can be punished with a communication ban, but only if its nothing major (ie. Digging out someone's real name from a private profile and calling them that on ZARP repeatedly against their will.). If an act of doxxing is more severe (be it in quantity or quality) or continued after a communication ban is handed out, you might face a community ban instead. The "three chances" only apply to multiple communication bans handed out over time, they are not meant to be - and will not be treated as "three chances to dox someone". So will sinz be communication banned for a continuous harassment of users? |
