It's been a full year to the day since we announced a new Community Team member, so without further ado your next Community Manager is Jawson! Jawson has been an active part of ZARP since 2016 and has held numerous positions across the community, in more recent times he has been working on exciting map changes for a future map, designing new server features with developers and providing high quality re-textures.
How was Jawson selected, and could I also still get voted in?
This year we have decided to change the process of how the Community Team votes on potential new Community Managers. Instead of you coming to us, we will reach out to you if you have shown a significant interest in the community and its servers.
There are many individuals who fit into this category and to all those people who dedicated their time and skills to the community we are very grateful for your work, and it is appreciated.
If you think you would be suitable for the role yourself, as we always say there is nothing set in stone which dictates how and when new Community Team members can be chosen and it changes from year to year. So be sure to reach out to your favorite CM Team member and ask them to sound out the idea of you coming onboard the team in a future meeting.
And finally a huge thank you to YOU, the community for sticking with us throughout the years, and for all of you who contribute ideas, feedback and their time.
Thank you!
When will Jawson be getting started?
Right away. Jawson will now be given his new ranks but will first need to complete an induction before he gains access to his new powers. In the meantime if you have any questions or concerns about his plans be sure to spam him on Discord
(jawson_). The Induction takes a few hours to complete and ensures that no matter who gets accepted they will be brought up to speed to the same level as the rest of the team.
Your next Community Manager for 2024
The Voting Process
Jawson was voted on in the Community Team meeting held on Sunday 14th July and all eligible members to vote were in attendance. The meeting was held in accordance with the Meeting Rules as published under the
Meeting Rules policy.
Until next time, Thanks ZARP!
