Finally, something to get excited about!

Going into 2023 I thought it was time to give our forum ranks a fresh coat of paint, whilst introducing a couple of new ones in the process. I appreciate it’s not something that is super exciting, but it’s a nice little change to help modernize the forums.

User Levels

As mentioned above I have restructured some but not all of the user levels. After taking a look at the requirements to achieve some of the levels there doesn’t feel like there is much consistency. Hopefully with the changes I have made there might be a bit more variety in the levels displayed. There are also a whopping TWO new levels to obtain, whilst the almighty spectacular boarder has been changed and made slightly more exclusive.

As it stands -- nobody holds the rank, whereas 4 users had it before…

Staff Ranks

Whilst I have re-colored the forum staff ranks, I do also have plans for the rectangular in-game staff ranks. I do not believe the feedback on the ranks has been positive and despite it being a great idea, it was not really executed as well as it maybe could have been.

I will work more in depth on this at a later date, however the idea for now is to move these ranks below user karma. I believe using icons similar to what we had on the Teamspeak server would look less intrusive, this is not something I can implement immediately though.

Onto the changes that are now live.
