[CM TEAM] Meeting Outcome 27/11/2022 1 year 11 months ago #1397589

Today's Community Team meeting has been completed. We have the following important announcements to make that were discussed in this weeks Community Team meeting.

Community Bans/Unbans

JMT (Unbanned)

JMT was banned a few months ago for doxxing a member of the community. We feel that he has had enough time to think about his actions and we are confident that he has learned from his mistakes.

Throughout his ban, the Community Team has received reports of him making inappropriate comments towards a member of this community. After carefully examining the evidence and talking to him as well as some of the people reporting him, we’ve concluded that there is no need to take further action.

We’d like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that spreading accusations about something of a serious nature without reporting it so that it can be dealt with properly can permanently damage someone’s reputation – both in the community and beyond – especially if they turn out to be false.

If you want to report serious issues like these, feel free to contact any member of the lead teams or talk to a member of the Community Team directly. We’re always available and we take situations like these very seriously.

I just wanted to bump this as a gentle reminder...

We have been receiving reports of on-going harassment and are looking into it on a case-by-case basis. We will not tolerate harassment of users within our community and take situations such as this seriously. You know who you are and this is your chance to stop before you are dealt with appropriately. Spreading harmful rumours about a person can be detrimental to both a persons image and more importantly their mental health...
