Promotions

In todays Community Team Meeting we have decided to give members of the community specific roles for their involvement around the community.

We decided to promote xDutchCat to the Event Manager role in which he can help, manage and promote community-wide events. We're looking forward to see his great events!

Changes to the Meeting Rules

We've decided to make some changes to our meeting rules, specifically our procedures for voting on opening Teamspeak Head Admin applications and voting on Teamspeak Head Admin candidates. Here's what we changed:

We discussed it, but we decided we won't be making the same changes for Forum Meetings currently

There is no other rank in the community in which a lower rank gets to vote on a higher rank, and this has led to more issues than it has solved - you are still able to support applications, give your opinion to Head Admins+ and vote on Teamspeak staff + the current staff review section.

If you would like to suggest changing policies back though, you can always make a suggestion on the forums and/or contact a member of the Community Team about it explaining why you feel it would be beneficial to make such changes.

Well forum staff can still vote on possibly the highest rank in the community outside the CM team just by being section staff (that rank being forum administrator) as well as Global Mod. TS meeting was already a drag for people before but since most people can do almost nothing in that meeting now you should probably expect a drop in attendance henceforth. I'm not complaining or anything, but from the perspective of a regular TS staff, I'm just stating what I think will happen

Edit: I'm also not saying I won't be attending them btw

So why is this still the case on forum ranks? You can't just change it for one for that reason then leave the other the exact same, it literally doesn't make sense??? As far as I've seen there hasn't been any issue with this in the teamspeak meetings, there's been good debates about why they should be added and why they shouldn't be added. And this is exactly what you want, you want the community/members of staff to give their opinions and come to a solution. And if people can't not lose their heads then they shouldn't be in positions that they are in. It just feels like we have less and less control as time goes on.
