In the Community Team meeting today, we have decided to implement the all-new Community Council for ZARP Gaming. Applications will be open from this week onwards until we vote to close them again in the Community Team meeting.

This post will outline the basic details about the Community Council. You can read all the details on the full policy here: zarpgaming.com/index.php/help/policies/90-community-council

The Community Council assist team works closely together with the Community Team in order to with the improvement of community related issues. They discuss relevant issues, suggestions and complaints with the Community Team and help to plan improvements for the issues raised. Members of the Community Council also assist with communication between different ranks and users and should always do so in a calm and appropriate manner.

The Community Council gain no extra powers ingame. They should aim to always attend the Community Council meeting, currently scheduled on Friday at 8:30PM UK time in accordance with all relevant meeting rules and as defined in the policy.

Any member of the community is eligible to apply for the Community Council. You may view the application template here: zarpgaming.com/index.php/forum/server-ap...application-template

Community Team members may vote to open or close the Community Council applications within the weekly Community Team meeting. When applications are open, this will be publicised on the Community Team meeting outcome, with applications being voted upon in the following week’s Community Team meeting.

There is no limit on the number of people that may be part of the Community Council. This is the discretion of the current Community Team.

It's right slap in the middle of Friday evening what do you mean LMAO, meetings can go on for a while

IMO it should be changed to Sunday before the server owners meeting at like 5-5:30pm

As for me, i'd love to apply and help out if selected but I'll basically hardly be around for those meetings so I might as well not bother

We may reconsider the timings. The current time is after the Surf meeting, as that seemed like the most logical time given other meeting times, though part of the reason we put the meeting at the end of the night is so that, in case there is a lot to discuss, we can dedicate as much time as we need to the meeting.

IMO anytime sunday would make more sense, it's when people are less likely to be doing IRL things as well as after the majority of meetings. As things could happen in them that people may want to bring up in the community council meeting? just my 2c anyway
