Hi,

Just started playing TTT again, and I'd like to highlight something I just experienced. Adrii (Admin on TTT) just rather rudely handled my report and closed it before I even had a chance to properly explain, see screenshots below. When I had a look at his steam profile it all became clear, he's friends with the person I'm reporting. I understand that staff members are likely to play a lot and will therefore make some friends on the server but such a conflict of interest shouldn't be allowed, it's like the judge in a court being friends with the defendant, it isn't allowed for obvious reasons. Why are staff members allowed to handle their friends reports when there are plenty of impartial staff online?

I'm not worried about my report, even though 100% I was not seen planting the C4, I planted it underneath the tester room, where I'm sure you all know there's room for 1 person and you cannot be seen from above. It also wasn't called out in chat (which is what you'd do if you saw a T plant a C4 obviously), a telltale sign of a kill on sus, not evidence (although to clarify the person who I was accusing shot me first then I killed them, so not full RDM, just attempted).

I'd just like a clarification on the rules for staff members surrounding circumstances such as these.

chicken plays all the time so he wouldnt shoot you for no reason so he mustve saw you plant it and from adriis point of view he knows chicken and knows he wouldnt kill without a reason and after looking at logs he saw that you DID place a c4 so he assumed you were seen and although he couldve handled it more professionally i dont blame him for closing the report	jam Offline Gold Boarder o/ Posts: 2711 Thanks received: 1406 Karma: -330

That's not how we handle reports, we still handle the report normally even though you know the reported player. I can't go on and mass RDM with nobody questioning me just because I don't usually break the rules.

What Adrii should've done is to not type "too bad" close the report and walk off as if the situation was handled. He should've kept on talking to see if Hogpog's story and chicken's story is true or not.

brb imma just mass rdm on ttt with nobody handling the reports correctly because I don't usually break the rules

If you wish to make this into a staff report then use the following template:

[b]Staff Member(s) Name:[/b]

[b]Staff Member(s) SteamID:[/b]

[b]What Did The Staff Member(s) do?:[/b]

[b]What Server(s) Was This On?:[/b]

[b]Evidence:[/b]

You can't really prove that someone did not see something from your own perspective unless it was very clear. Even so, the admin can only take your word for it unless your had some other proof that Chicken didn't see it. Althoughi do think adrii should have been more polite and explained the report better i dont see the outcome of the report being different if a different admin had took it.

It was closed so quickly it's ridiculous, I was midway typing a response and he just typed too bad and closed the report. I don't think it's fair to not hear both sides of the story because it's too much hassle.

I'm not excusing his actions I'm just trying to rationalize why he would do that

I apologize for not realizing it was not a report. However, you asked for a staff member to be talked to for the way he handled the report, I also felt it could have been handled way better and so he was talked to and this should no longer be a problem. yes i know but what i mean is he would trust chicken not to RDM and there were logs of hopgop doing the t act that chicken thought he had seen him doing and yes i know he shouldve kept the chat open longer so hopgop could explain his version of the story but im just saying he did have reason to believe chicken didnt do anything wrong
