TOPIC: TTT Complaint/Suggestion

Hello hello, my names Lionforhire and I have a total of 5.808 minutes (96.8 hours) on Zarp TTT. I've known about Zarp for a few years now, the earliest of my warns going all the way back to March 12th of 2017. Of course I haven't played for 3 years straight but for the past few months I have found myself playing on the server quite a bit. And with that spent on the server, I've started to notice a few things.

One of the things I think Zarp does better then other TTT servers is the ability to provide a chill/somewhat but not overly toxic environment. It provides players with chill and funny (sometimes cute @potatoe) staff members. The server provides things from fun models to cool T weapons to use. These are all reason why people decide to play on Zarp TTT and more.

But Zarp TTT isen't all sunshine and rainbows, in fact, it has quite a few problems. And no, these problems are some game changing, map breaking, aim boting cheat. But instead, these problems stem from the rules and the ability of the staff to handle situations. As per any normal Gmod server, Zarp gets its fair share of minges and trollers. The chat being filled with hateful stuff and people going around just MRDMing. But the reason this is such a problem for Zarp is because a lot of the time, these situations aren't handled properly. For example, today (4/10/20) a guys jumped onto the server and were playing for about 30-45 mins I wanna say. They changed their name to offensive stuff, were MRDMing, saying offensive stuff, mic and chat spamming, etc etc. During this time, 1 SA, 2 Admins, and 1 Mod were online and active. Nothing was being done about the situation besides the Mod gagging them for 5 mins here and there. It took until after they left the server for them to get banned and for all that is was only 72 hours. Now, this isen't so much a complaint about the staff as much as it is their ability to deal with these situations. I've heard from multiple players and staff members that their ability to handle these types of situations is extremely limited. Mods have little to no authority on the server and are capable of doing barley anything. And this is due to no fault of their own but the fault of those who have given them such limitations. The fact that a full server has to wait for an Admin+ to get on so a group of MRDM'ers can get banned or KICKED is crazy. We've all seen situations like that, where Mods or Admins can do barley anything and it takes a higher rank to get on before something is done. This is annoying for both the staff and the players.

Lower ranking staff need to be given the ability to handle situations more appropriately. Rules need to be taken more seriously and sits should be prioritzed over gameplay for staff. These are not hard changes to make, as someone who has had alot of staffing experince on Gmod such as myself (not a flex at all lol, kinda sad tbh), its sad to see these thing not being taken care of.

OP, you raise some good points. If you see staff online who are are straight up not doing anything about people breaking rules, whether that's using their moderation tools to punish players or trying to contact higher ranking staff then they're being plain negligent and you could report them for that.
