If you throw away a diamond block this is considered a Traitors act and is indeed an KOSable offence.

By throwing away a diamond block, you are obstructing the process of letting innocent's finish the game (which results in a win), the same goes for the golden block, both are considered traitorous acts and both are a good reason for you to get a bullet to the head.
