TOPIC: Unbelievable Ban

I don't want this to be a rant so I will try to keep this part short: (also I had no warns)

This is the longest ban I have received in any multiplayer game ever and for easily the most minor infraction.

Events:

I pick up minecart
I nudge somebody about half a block with said minecart (not pushing off anything just moving across a bit of grass)
Put down minecart

Little did I know that this would cause a 1 week ban.

Events Part 2: Electric Boogaloo - Miia's Revenge

Get Slain by Miia (same round about a couple secs later)

say: "thats not very nice"

*get kicked* (note this was not intended to be a kick as Miia later said that the ban didn't work the first time)

*rejoin*

a round later i get banned for a week after Miia said ban didn"t work first time

Part 3: Duck sits and reads the rules for staff on the ZARP forums in a state of disbelief:

Rules Broken (note all of these will be directly quoted and i will provide where i got them from): <-- look it forms a sad face

Staff Ethos:

"We recommend all staff to remain calm and friendly when dealing with users in the community"
" not to interrupt them whilst they are playing when it isn’t needed."
"We don’t want people that break very minor rules that have no impact on other people or servers being needlessly punished when a simple talk can resolve the situation."
"On the game servers when possible we wish to see people using the mute, jail or freeze commands rather than banning or kicking people." (this is getting long fast)

ok this is more difficult to extract quotes from so i wont directly quote

i had no previous kicks/bans but i did get a couple warns and a few autoslays but as i said they were all cleared by then and Miia obviously didn't take the time to go through as ban was pretty much instant.

so to conclude idk just wrote this in pure shock and awe

You already had 11 recent punishments so i was well within my rights to ban you. Prop pushing is against the rules, you don't have to be pushing them near a hazard or anything, just pushing is enough to get you punished. You were first banned for 2 days for your recent punishments, however as soon as you were banned you decided to immediately rejoin the server(for whatever reason the ban did not work and he could join back). As a banned user is not permitted to rejoin the server until the ban has expired you were banned again for a longer amount of time. As for staff ethos it is not to protect abusive users, if you have to be banned you are an abusive user.

Even if you only nudged them a little with a minecart it still counts as prop abuse and Miia was not wrong to slay you. For the ban, I’m presuming you have recent punishments and a recent ban, but we’ll have to wait for Miia’s say. Edit - Miia’s reasoning has been posted as I was typing this.	eddie. yeah technically, so it should have been a permenant ban. But he didn’t know he was banned so it wasn’t intentional

yeah technically, so it should have been a permenant ban. But he didn’t know he was banned so it wasn’t intentional

I only gave him a 3 day ban when he joined back due to this very reason. I was unsure whether or not the user was aware that they had been banned due to them being able to join back, so only decided to lengthen the ban by a little bit, rather than just perming them for ban evading.
