TOPIC: [Deathrun] Map Project

Map Project

This map project will be a collaborative project to create a map dedicated to ZARP, or a map containing ZARP icons and references for the ZARP Deathrun servers. We are hoping to bring the entire ZARP Deathrun staff team, as well as the wider community together in this collaboration to produce a polished, interesting and original map!

A few members of the team have already offered to help with the map, but we still need people to help out with the map.

We need your ideas, inspirations, map creating skills and other technical skills to turn this project into a reality. If you have the following skills, please leave reply to this topic with any of the following/other skills you possess!

• Hammer Knowledge / Map Creating Knowledge
• Possible 3D GFX Design Skills

As well as needing people with certain skillsets, we need your ideas too, please leave your ideas for the following in a reply to this topic:

• Trap types? (try and blend originality with popular traps)
• Art style? (Cartoon map, HL2 texture map, etc)
• Recurring Images? (what type of images should appear through the map)
• Map Name? (something to do with zarp)
• How long should the map be?

And any other ideas related to the map you may have!

Requirements

First of all, if you're going to make a map with ZARP's name or Logo in it, you must agree that the Owners of the Logo and/or name can do what they want with the map and edit it if need be. Since it is a ZARP orientated map, it will only be included on ZARP's servers and no other servers.

• It must be less than 40MB in filesize
• It must not include any offensive, inappropriate or vulgar imagery on the map
• Everything on the map must abide by the Server Rules
• Do not include any information or images of Community Members unless they give permission (no traps with EMP's face unless he says you can use his face)

Extra Information

During the process of making a map, you are free to test that everything works, but, the Lead Team will be testing the final map for exploits and to make sure it would fit in with the servers.

The map project will be running for a long time, there is no fixed time on it yet. Noting this we do not want you to rush your map, but we would like to see the map relatively soon.

If possible, we'd like to see as much ZARP related content as possible, try and blend the ZARP Community with traps and map styles, for example traps relating to ZARP SSRP or the ZARP community in general (only make traps on members that give their permission.

One thing I personally would like to see is sound clips being played along with traps (similar to the family guy map), so this means we may need people to record voice clips of themselves, but we don't want random sound clips. I'm sure you could contact the map creator themselves to see if your voice could be featured.
