TOPIC: A Message

Hi There

So many people on the servers have been asking me on the benefits on being a Moderator , I usually tell them that I play like any other person and there is nothing special to being a Moderator , but I usually don't tell them the real thing .

Listen people , if you have any idea or have the simple thought that being a Mod is beneficial then your wrong , think again , you have to work and do f1's which might be stressful and sometimes boring , you WILL lose friends , people will start hating you and you will need very close friends to help you out during these times , you WILL have to be truthful , unabusing , kind , and a well-respecting person , people will hate on you and sometimes even remove privileges ( Basing , Raiding , etc. ) that you'd normally have , I don't want to sound negative but this is a message to people who have the audacity to think that being a Moderator is something easy , something that will not take time and something easily mastered , you are wrong , I've been in many situations during my short time in which I've faced very confusing and very complicated tasks , sometimes you'll need to pull the trigger , make the move , warn the person , but other times you'll leave them go , hold your power and give them another chance , it will all be judged NOT on the person that was breaking the rules but rather the person that gave him a second chance , YOU .

In short my first message is talking that people should appreciate what we staff do to these servers , and I'm trying to be as modest as possible right now , but I need to tell you our thoughts , another thing is that you should NEVER underestimate your job as staff , your a person that has power , and with power comes great responsibility.

Another thing is the fact that people say "ZARP is getting "Boring"" , No it isn't , and no im not being sarcastic , firstly check your timing , whats your time to GMT ? is it + or - , that might be the reason why not many people play on , or it might be because you aren't bringing the fun to you , remember , this is DARKRP , and not some TTT or Murder gamemode , its roleplay , YOU make your choices , YOU make your path and YOU create your gameplay , YOU ,in short , shape this gamemode , which in return , shapes this wonderful community .

This message come to me during school , Im actually considered as a person in which the low-graders look upon , and that I usually link my treatment of respect to the children as equally as I do to you guys .

I feel being Moderator is even harder than being Admin because people have literally 0 respect for you. It might sound weird but that Admin tag does intimidate alot of people more than a Moderator. Being staff does suck sometimes but you've got to live with it. You're still helping people which is why you're staff after all.

Well said, i applied for a mod again few days ago and the 1st thing that went thru my mind was damn rip my roleplay.. but we will see what happens..

It is harder because you have less power on controlling a guy
less power on actions in general
you cannot ban in severe moments where there is no admin+ to ban
You cannot physics gun (means no quick actions in handling)
the /tp command is really buggy sometimes


Being an admin is just same as a mod with better and easier powers nothin else

Nice words man. Although I'd like to say you will lose friends but you will also make others, people come and go just like IRL.
