When did I join Zarp?

I originally heard of ZARP from my friends back in 2014. My first appearance on the server was the first of June 2014 nearly 9 years ago now. When I first joined I really enjoyed the community which made me stick around and surprisingly longer than I ever thought or getting to places I've been in. The first server I played on was the SSRP Server 1 with my friends and ended up switching playing between Server 1 and 2. Later I then began to evolve more into the zarp ecosystem by exploring the other gamemodes and servers ZARP had presented well by the owners involved in creating them. This mainly ranged from the pointshop servers such as TTT, Surf , Deathrun & Bhop that later branched into one of many Minecraft servers ZARP has had. Later on in 2016 I decided to apply for my first moderator position which was for the ssrp server, in early march 2016. After this I stuck around for 3 and a half + years as staff gaining higher positions over time across all of the zarp servers.

Why should I be chosen for CM 2023?

I believe that I would be a prefect candidate for community manager 2023 because of my experience with the ZARP community as a whole that being firstly being a member here for close to 9 years which is an extreme amount of time to spend in the one gaming community. I've been apart of zarp staff teams over the course of 7 years now with holding server owner and lead team positions for years.

Dedication & Pervious Experience

Over my many years here in the ZARP Community, I have shown massive amounts of dedication and enjoyment towards the community and my commitment to the staff team. This experience includes running servers for ZARP and being a head admin across 99% of zarps servers! I also held community manager here in zarp in 2021, which I got accepted with Martin. Recently I came back to the community and worked my way all the way back up to where I once use to be and back again applying for the community manager position.

Trust

I would say trust is a big key with becoming a community manager in ZARP. This is from the amount of power you obtain and keeping that information safe and secure. I would say since coming back I have rebuilt the trust I broke before obtaining my owner ranks back has proven this and the community team trust me once again.

Skills

I believe I hold a good amount of skills needed to be a Community Manager. Most of you know I don't have the ability to code updates however that doesn't stop me for other skills I believe I have. I believe one of my best skills is communication, I tend to try my best with talking with staff and users across the community by helping out players and staff when in need or have concerns/issues with punishments etc. I've tried my best to communicate to users of their punishments without trying to have a mass amount of drama. I also have tried my extreme best to reply to anyone who messages me about issues with staff or community issues.

I believe another skill I have is creativity. I can come up with decent ideas or plans of small things and extend them to as much as which can be seen below in the events system. I've also been working on more ideas to bring forward to chute for the future SSRP updates.

Another skill which I believe I have shown is a skill to understand players with their issues and their side of the story when it comes to ban appeals, staff issues etc. I also see fairness as another skill I have. I do tend to try my best in situations to be as fair as I can, however, it does come to times where punishments would have to be a lot more stricter due to users being blatantly abusive.

Personality

I see myself as being a very friendly individual and staff member within the ZARP Community. I do try my best to keep it up as much as I can, helping anyone who comes across me with in-game or even personal life issues. I would also see myself as a very caring person for others and the Community in general. I would also like to improve my very friendly trait across the community to other servers such as TTT & Prophunt, to where I do lack in communication between users and staff on there. Being a Community Manager will help this improve over time due to being staff on the TTT & Prophunt servers.

Motivation

I see motivation being the biggest factor in becoming a community manager. I for one have proven my motivation towards zarp and the community especially when it comes to the SSRP Server this is by getting the lead team and community team in action and getting shit done what needed to be done. My motivation has majorly helped process some changes in recent months. Below I will mention more about what I've done.

What have I done recently?

So far since I've come back to the community, I've been actively interacting with the Community Team, Staff Members and users across the community to the best of my ability. I've been coming up with ideas and plans we could focus on across the community. I've mainly focused at the SSRP Servers by majorly helping to improve the testing sessions on the server by repeatedly trying to allow them to spread their trust and allow lead team members to help test new content on the server to massively reduce issues that have been reoccurring over and over again with the lack of testing, major exploits and bugs being introduced. Since doing this we've massively reduced the issues and been proven expanding the testing team has worked.

Moving on from the testing sessions I've also re-introduced the SSRP Trello, which all lead team members are added on it. This trello is used for suggestions and bug tracking to make sure we are up-to-date and on track of the servers issues and getting them done. Once again getting this back out it has proven to work by fixing a lot of bugs that have been on the server a long time. As of recent, with the holidays we've slowed down on it but in the coming days we will be back on track going through the current out standing ones.

When I originally came back and obtained SSRP Admin I sat down with chute along with my fellow candidate CEO and discussed with him major issues with his community and nothing being done able it at all. The issues ranged from lack of communication from within the team itself and to the staff and players, server having bugs on them for massively extended amount of time when they could've easily been done, refund requests being ignored and never handled some of them waiting nearly 2 months for a response, Issues with the staffing system bugs and changes, the leaderboard issues and finally issues with a member of the community team himself.
This talk led to shit being done and taking care of and it was because of me, someone finally standing up about the issues and being listened was the greatest thing chute could've done. In recent months I've been told by players and staff that only since I've been back things actually started to improve with my motivation and dedication helping towards this.

As of recent I've noticed that on the SSRP server the rewards obtained of a major amount of content is lacking due to the amount of time that gets put into the feature. I got Chute to give a list of all the rewards and eventually when we had a spare moment I got all the lead team members online including chute going through all feature rewards of the server balancing them out and giving better rewards which took an insane amount of time. Hopefully we can see these changes added in over the next few weeks.

My Plans/Ideas for 2023

Return of Community QnA's

If I am voted in to be a community manager I will be bringing back the community QnA's that were recently replaced with a petty forum thread from a former community team member. The QnA is something myself and my previous candidate Martin had introduced. When I came back I was shocked to see this changed as it literally defeated the purpose of the QnA's and it allows pre-typed responses, being ignored and not on the spot questions. If I am voted in there will be a QnA in the first couple of weeks once I've settled down back into the position.

Hiring Developers

A major issue with the ZARP community is the lack of developers in the community. This causes major issues with content and updates being pushed back for long periods of time since there is currently only two developers Chute and Martin and they simply cannot do everything themselves. Along with my running candidate CEO we both will pursue looking for developers for the zarp community that will include ssrp and pointshop servers. This will have to be a fully detailed plan along with the rest of the community team if I am voted in.

Community Developer Challenge

There hasn't been a community developer since 2020. That is 3 years ago now. I personally believe there needs to be more of these often. If I get community manager again, this is one of my goals. I want to do another public community developer challenge since there hasn't been a public one in about 6 years now. Doing this will hopefully reach out to candidates that we do not see from a private challenge, hopefully bringing more people into the community and giving individuals a chance that they haven't had before.

Return of Community wide events

This is something I did previously and want to bring back since they haven't been done since 2021, 2 years ago now. For one I want to bring back another loading screen competition for the servers. I want to do this again since the current ones are outdated and especially with upcoming map changes and a rotation that will hopefully be happening more often. Doing this competition will us players creative work that will be rewarded on prizes from 1st-3rd!

Another community wide event I wanted to do previously as a community manager and was half way through is the charity events and actually doing them this time. 2 years ago now the community voted for a charity they would want zarp to help and I'd love to actually get it done this time. My temporary idea behind this which would need to be discuss with the other members is as follows: Booster Pack promotion during the time length of the charity event with the money spent going towards the funds, players doing daily objectives/nukes/bank raids etc, will add to the pot. As for pointshop servers having not much of a big way of doing this would have to stick to daily objectives. There could also be in-game rewards to those players that caused the most money being made!

Changes to the Server Owners Meeting

Personally I believe the Server Owners Meeting is a bit lackluster and it majorly lacks the transparency with the community and of those who play the pointshop servers. A idea and plan of mine is a slight change in the meeting to were a least once a month (times to be discussed with cm team members) on the community team meeting outcome there will be a statement from the server owner of that server of the plans, updates and ideas they are going to be working on for the month ahead giving those that play their servers some sort of what's going to be happening on the server.

Cleaning up the Polices

This idea/plan of mine is a bit smaller compared to the others but it will include going through some of the ZARP policies some are just all over the place and need to be cleaned up and some policies and join together as one to just clean up the massive list of what we have.

The SSRP Council

The SSRP council is something that came from the community council that didn't fully work. However, when the SSRP Council was a thing it was a good benefit towards the servers with meetings we had about weapon and suit balances. I want to bring this back with some changes, that will allow any ssrp user to be able to apply or voted in on this position by the community instead of the cm team as this led to it just being the lead team members. The layout and plans of this is something that will be discussed with once if I am chosen.

The Unban Wave 2023

This is something we did 2 years ago when I was a community manager and I would like to bring it back bigger and better. The way I want to do it this time is including all servers and community bans(there will be limits on certain members....im sure you can guess who). Doing this will hopefully refresh players mindset that were banned to come back and enjoy the community once again.

Update Threads & Changelogs

This is something that I am currently working on is the changelog side of things which was seen as of recent I posted changes there were made to the server. Doing this actually shows players what's happening and breaks down what was done in the latest updates. On the topic of updates I will be bringing back update threads that states the content and potentially with works of my fellow candidate and his editing skills videos/trailers on the thread for each major SSRP Update.

Previous time as a Community Manager

A lot of you may already know I was previously a community manager back in 2021 for a period of about 9 months. In this time I lived to nearly every promise I previously had on my old community manager application that included policy changes, new servers, more server owners, community-wide events and much much more. In the last few weeks of being a community manager I was not as active as I use to be with missing meetings due to work and on going major family issues that happened I wasn't in the best place. After receiving a sanction by the cm team I felt like I was being forced out and not giving more time, I then resigned.
Hopefully I am considered once again to be appointed community managers and will fulfill all my promises once again and try my best to give the community what they want.
