DeathRun User Guide

Hello this is just a little user guide to help you guys get started and know how to play Zarp Deathrun!

What is DeathRun?
DeathRun is a Garry's Mod - Game mode where you can either be a 'Death' or a 'Runner'. We'll start with a runner, a 'Runner' is when you will be running around the map avoiding traps given by the deaths. There can be many curious traps so I suggest you look out for those! When you're avoiding traps when escaping the Deaths your main target is to reach the end. Reaching the end will normally give you a selection of choices where you can kill the deaths in any way for example - Atomic Warefare map you will get a selection like Bhop. As a runner you can also use your Bhoping skills - We'll get to this further in the guide!
A Deaths job is basically the opposite to the runners. You will trapped behind a wall and will be able to see the runners in-front of you. This is where you will try to kill them from pressing 'E' while looking at the button. Remember not to spam the traps! Stopping the runners from reaching the end of the map will make you win points and XP! But if you fail and the runners succeed you should still have a chance of winning. On some maps they will allow you to keep your weapon (crowbar) but also let the runners get a gun.




Let's move on to how Zarp DeathRun works!


When you 1st join Zarp there will be alot of options you can do so here I will tell you on how you can use them to get the full/fun experience!



Commands

Rock The Vote is a command where you have the right to change the map on a public vote - After a certain amount of votes have been rocked (depending on how many are on the server) a change of map will accur. Do do this command it is -

Nominate is a command where you can choose a passific map you want when the next vote on a map occurs. You will have over 30+ maps to choose from! Here is how to do the command

Third Person Is not a command but it's a fequently asked question to new comers. Of course you can stay in third person but here's how to get out of it -

F1, the F1 system on Deathrun is very cool. Press F1 and you will get a huge range of options to do. At the top there will be 'Players' you click on this if you want to get some ones Steam_ID for a report or if you want to mute them from Mic. Second would me 'Leader Bords' this is basically a competition as it will show the top 20 people who have got the most Time or Wins. We also have Unlocks where you'll get to pick your crowbar skin, every 5 levels you reach you'll get a new sword where you can get from the unlocks section. On settings we have 1 more button what is auto-hop this is if you want to just hold the space bar down and keep on jumping or not. I'd suggest to leave it as it is but it's all up to you!





XP

XP is used to rank up on zarp here are the rank systems what Stratiic has kindly made: Ranks. Ranks don't really do much but show your worthiness and skill to DeathRun. Every 5 levels you get you will unlock a new sword. Killing a player also gives you 25+XP and 50+XP if you're VIP!




Points/PointShop

You will get 10 points every round on DeathRun depending on if your team won or not, these Points will spread across to TTT and Bhop too. You also get 25+ points if you won the round and were still alive. A further 50 if you are VIP! The points will go towards the PointShop what you can access with F4, once in this menu you can buy anything you want - Skins, Masks, Hats, Trails and Taunts are all unlocked as a normal member but if you are VIP you will get a private section of the the PointShop called Auras! Every special occasion like Halloween we add exclusive items and skins like Zach so better save up!




Music/F7

When pressing F7 you will open a small menu where you have the option to play music what's already been added in the 'Media List' and also there is a button 'Add Song' all you have to do is get the URL link from youtube etc and press Ok!





BHOP
Bunny hop is enabled on the server and it's all up to you if you want to do it or not! If you don't know how to bhop it's quiet simple but it can be quiet hard to get used too. To start you will need to press W a tiny bit so you will start to go forwards. Using A-D-A-D you use your mouse to move the direction you a pressing your keys. For simpler text when you press A turn your mouse left at the same time and then press D and move right. Remember to hold down the keys to keep the momentum. The more you Bhop the Faster you go!





Reporting a Player/Staff

A quick easy way is you can add one of the Admins on steam and contact us there. Here is the link for staff: Staff just send us a message on what has happened and maybe some proof and we'll get it handled.
