Personally I would recommend that you buy booster packs, you get more inventory space inside your characters inventory and you'll also be able to get blueprint cases and weapon cases, and like Morgan said, you'll be able to get 10,000 gems, which could be helpful in the next update.

I would recommend them, personally, I've bought a few.
